We use thoughtfully, individually sourced ingredients from our community of fishers and farmers. Sustainability plays a huge part in our mission, including where our ingredients are coming from, our vendor relationships and how our treats are packaged. Fish is a sustainable, healthy and hypoallergenic protein source for dogs. It is easily digestible and relatively low in saturated fats. Fish is a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids which help reduce inflammation and support a healthy skin and coat. Dogs love the crunch of our Cod Skins and other fish treats, and the crunchy texture helps removeplaque and tartar from their teeth.
Polkadog proudly partners with a different animal shelter each month to highlight an adoptable dog and sponsor their adoption through their Pup of the Month program. In addition, Polkadog is committed to environmental stewardship and is a member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition. The company also gives back to various non-profits including Save the Harbor Save the Bay, MassachusettsOyster Project and Greencrab.org. Polkadog also donates portions of their Cod Skins sales to 1% for the Planet, an organization dedicated to preserving the health of our oceans, our environment and our coastal communities.
