For maintenance purposes, it safely cleans aquariums and accessories, conditions water, buffers nitrite levels and recharges aquarium water softener units. Plus, you can use it when introducing new fish to a tank. It can be safely used with water conditioners and all Tetra® products, including all Tetra® tropical fish care remedies. You can also use the salt to hatch brine shrimp eggs.
This product is for aquarium use only and not for use on food fish. It is safe for freshwater aquarium fish and plants. Be cautious when using the salt with live plants, as some may be sensitive. Ensure salt is fully dissolved before introducing it to your tank. Some species, like catfish and tetras, are sensitive to salt. Consult an expert before use.
